Turkey says ship with grain leaves Odessa, to reach Istanbul Tue
ANKARA, Aug 1 (PRIME) -- A debut ship loaded with the Ukrainian grain has left the port of Odessa and will enter Turkey’s territorial waters on Tuesday, where security inspection will take place, Turkey’s Ministry of National Defense said on Monday.
“The RAZONI ship has left the Odessa port. It is expected to reach Istanbul on August 2. The vessel will continue its travel to the port of destination after security inspection in Istanbul,” the authority said.
The ministry said earlier that the ship would leave the Odessa port for Lebanon at 8:30 a.m. Moscow time on Monday.
The U.N. said in a statement that a united coordination center has permitted the vessel to leave the Odessa port and is controlling its safe travel through the sea corridor.
On July 22, the participants of negotiations on the Ukraine grain exports reached an agreement, and safe corridors to export the grain were expected to appear in two weeks.
